2. The screen updates to allow entry of the new QC information:
The value can be scanned from a barcode or manually entered with the
keypad, duplicating the string of numbers on the QC Certificate of
Calibration sheet. If using the keypad for entry, press
<Enter>
to accept the
entered value.
A check value is included in the QC label, if the value was input incorrectly
the instrument will identify the incorrect data and alert the user of an ID scan
error.

Set User Correction Values
Use this function to update the User Correction Values (UCV) stored in the
instrument. The UCV_SLOPE and UCV_INTR are a pair of slope and
intercept terms which are applied to the pH reported by the
pH SAFE Reader
.
These can be set by the user if needed to adjust the pH output from the
pH
SAFE Reader
to match pH values from a separate reference pH measurement
instrument as follows:

Up / Down Arrow
keys as necessary to
scroll through the list until the

2. The UCV_SLOPE (slope) value can be edited using the 1 and 3 keys to
increase and decrease the values by 0.001, the 4 and 6 keys to increase and
decrease the values by 0.010, or the 7 and 9 keys to increase or decrease the
values by 0.050.
3. Once the desired value is set press the
<Enter>
key to store the value and press
another key to confirm that the value has been stored.
4. Follow the same procedure to adjust the UCV_INTR (intercept).
5. By default these values are set to 1.000 and 0.000. They can range from 0.600
to 1.400 for the UCV_SLOPE and -1.000 to 1.000 for the UCV_INTR.

Print Service Report
Use this function to print out a summary of what the current instrument settings
are for the QC values and the photodetector gains. This function is used in
situations where servicing of the instrument is required.
Proceed as follows:
