CHAP
If Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol is to be used for
extra security on this path, then set the parameters in this section.
Parameter:
CHAP Secrets

Options:
Any valid incoming and/or outgoing password.
Function:
Sets CHAP Security.
Instructions:
As with PAP, specifying Challenge Handshake
Authentication Protocol (CHAP) as the profile means
you must specify the incoming and outgoing CHAP
secrets as well. If the secrets do not match those on the
remote unit, any connections attempted along this path
will not be established.

Alternate CHAP Name

Options:
A valid alternative CHAP name
Function:
An alternative CHAP name is an extra level of security
for CHAP operation.
Instructions:
For security purposes, this option allows you to give the
PPP path an alternative name, which may be expected
from a remote unit.
