After finishing the canning process, turn the temperature dial to the „OFF“ position
and remove the device’s plug from its socket.
•
After canning, remove the jars from the tank as they will continue to cook if left inside
hot water.
•
Use the special handle to avoid burns while removing jars.
•
Empty the tank after the water has cooled.
6. Cleaning and descaling
CAUTION!
Disconnect the unit from the power supply (unplug!) before cleaning.
The unit is not designed to be rinsed with running water.
Do not use a pressure washer to clean the device!
Be careful and do not let the water into the unit.
Regular cleaning

Clean the device regularly after use and additionally as needed.
o
Clean the device’s surface with a soft, moist cloth. In case of stubborn dirt a mild
cleaning agent can be used. Never use aggressive cleaning substances.
o
Wipe the power cord and plug with a dry cloth.
o
Wash the inside of the tank thoroughly, rinse with water then pour it out through the
spout.
o
Wash the lid and grid with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. Rinse with clean
water, then dry thoroughly.
