THE "DRAIN" FILTER
(See Figure 2)
This filter is mounted in the shrouding enclosure. The
drain filter (565-01252) contains a replaceable filter
element which simply unscrews from the filter head.
CAUTION
These filter elements are not re-usable.
ELEMENT REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
1. Remove old element by unscrewing it from filter head.
2. Remove used gasket from groove in filter head.
3. Take new gasket from inside new element and install
in groove in filter head.
4. Apply oil to new gasket.

NOTE:
On a new machine the filter elements must be changed after the first 50 hours of
operating time and then every 400 hours after that.
CAUTION
When maintaining the hydraulic system, keep all parts clean and remove all dirt
from the area before you begin disassembly. Use caps and plugs to keep dirt out
of tubelines and openings.
THE "RETURN" FILTER
(See Figure 1)
The Return Filters (565-00116) are welded into the top of
the hydraulic oil reservoir.
The filter heads must be unbolted, twisted, and lifted off
to reveal the filter element which can then be removed
and replaced.

5. Screw element on by hand until tight, to seat gasket
in groove.
6. Loosen element.
7. Retighten element until it contacts gasket, then
tighten 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn.
8. Check for leaks after start-up.
THE "PILOT OIL" FILTER
(See Figure 3)
This filter (565-01255) is located on the stabilizer valve
circuit. It contains a replaceable filter element located
inside the bowl.
CAUTION
These filter elements are not re-usable.
ELEMENT REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
1. Unscrew the bowl from the filter head.
2. Remove the old element and replace with a new one.
3. Reinstall the bowl to the filter head.
