ASSEMBLING
DANFOSS DRIVE MOTOR (OMV800) MAINTENANCE CONTINUED...
1. Replace conical seal ring (8), fit into recess in bearing housing, placed in the holding tool.
2. Replace shaft including bearings (17, 19, 23), use the hydraulic press (max 2500 N
[550lbf])
ALWAYS PRESS ON THE BEARING OUTER RING
3. Replace shaft seal (4), knock into position in the front cover using the assembly mandrel.
Grease lip with vaseline.
4. Replace dust seal ring (2), use assembly mandrel (C), plastic hammer, and support (to
prevent the shaft seal from being knocked out). Grease lip with vaseline.
5. Replace O-ring (5), grease with vaseline.
6. Replace front cover (3).
7. Replace six screws (1) that hold on front cover, use 13 mm socket. Tighten to
30 - 40 N m [265.5 - 354 in lbs]. Turn motor upside down. Fill up splines area in the
shaft with oil. Mount two guide bolts (E).
8. Replace cardan shaft (14).
9. Replace O-ring (24).
10. Replace gearwheel set (25), hold fingers under the gearwheel set to prevent parts from
falling out. Hole 6 mm to be aligned with hole in the bearing housing. Mark the wheel
of the gearwheel set at the point where the tip of a spline tooth is opposite the bottom
of a tooth in the external rotor teeth (see drawing).
11. Replace valve drive (27), mark the bottom of a spline tooth on the valve drive. Line up
mark on rotor and valve drive.
12. Replace O-ring (24), grease with vaseline.
13. Replace guide pin (26).
14. Replace channel plate (28).
15. Replace disc valve (30), align mark on valve with a hole in the outer rim (A on drawing).
Turn disc valve counter clockwise until splines in the two parts engage.
16. Replace both spring washers (36), place into valve housing.
17. Replace O-ring (33), grease with vaseline.
18. Replace O-ring (34), grease with vaseline.
19. Replace guide pin (32).
20. Replace balance plate (31).
21. Replace spacer (35), grease with vaseline to prevent the spacer from dropping out.
22. Replace valve housing (38), mount unit on the rest of the motor. Ports should face in the
same direction as the drain port.
23. replace four screws (43) that hold on valve housing, lubricate threads and cross tighten
screws to 30 - 60 N m [265.5 - 531 in lbs].
24. Replace two balls (39).
25. Replace two springs (40).
26. Replace two washers (41).
27. Replace two plugs (42), tighten to 10 - 15 N m [90 - 130 in lbs].
28. Replace drain plug (10), and washer (11), fill motor with oil before plugging. tighten to
30 - 60 N m [265.5 - 531 in lbs].
29. Replace two seal plugs (37).
