Carrying out maintenance
The ultrasonic bath must be disinfected as far as possible before each maintenance.
This must be at least a surface disinfection with disinfectant wipes, but can also
be performed extensively by disinfecting with a VAH-listed instrument disinfectant
(observe the manufacturer’s speci
fi
cations). Until the ultrasonic bath has been disinfected,
protective clothing (e.g. disposable gloves).

When replacing components as part of maintenance, it must be ensured that individual
parts and assemblies of the ultrasonic bath, hoses, seals, pump parts, potentially
contaminated and must therefore be disposed of after maintenance work has been
completed.
6.2.1 Visual
inspection
During the visual inspection, the ultrasonic bath is examined for damage.
Visually inspect the following parts:
• Check the shell, plastic frame, generator for dents, cracks, damaged rivets, or screws
• Check the mains cable for damage to the insulation or chafe marks
• Check the display and front plate for scratches and chipping
• Check the ultrasonic bath for dents, cavitation damage and condition of the
fi
ll level mark
• Check the outlet for any noticeable traces of liquid
