Process to Test MK/PC Communications
Open The KPS program:
1. Double click on the KPS icon on bottom corner of the screen.
2. Under Edit click on the
Test Communications
3. Minimize the KPS program (Note: DO NOT EXIT (X) the program)
The Program will automatically send a test communications frame to the Distributed Control
Keypad.
If there is a problem in the communications the display will show a
RED ERROR MESSAGE
. If
this should occur:
1. Check the RS-232 cable connection.
2. Enter the
Preferences
options in the KPS:
a. Make sure the port connections is COM1
