abnormally high heart rate readings. Common sources of 

electromagnetic signals are high voltage power lines, motor 

driven equipment, and other heart rate monitor users. Check 

your surroundings for possible sources of electromagnetic 

signals, and move away from the source.

Note: The 606 automatically records the highest maximum 

heart rate attained during a workout. It cannot, however, 

distinguish between genuine heart rate signals, and artifi-

cially high heart rate signals caused by electrical interfer-

ence. For this reason, the 606 may occasionally record an 

artificially high maximum heart rate caused by electrical 

interference encountered during a workout.
