1 Product description
1.1 Field of application
The CMO 1-01 and CMO 2-01 cable modem is used to set up Internet access for the connected computers via the CATV
connection. The CMO 1-01/2-01 can be used as a desktop device.
Use the devices only as specified in the operating instructions. If the devices are used for other applications, no warranty is
given!
1.1.1 Typical application
The cable modems are used together with the Mini CMTS 2-00 to feed Internet access in hospitals, schools, residential
homes or hotels into a DVB-C network. The cable modems then provide access points for Internet and data services via
Ethernet and WiFi. High-performance WiFi access points, switches and other network technology can also be connected to
such a modem.
1.1.2 Aditional Application
The cable modems can also be used to provide end customers with broadband Internet access via cable TV
connections. The requirement for this is Internet access with a cable network operator.
