Carefully position the assembly atop the Mid Front Horizontals (#7,

#13). With a little jiggling, the screws will fall into the mounting
holes.

Apply the square nuts and tighten them most, but not all the way,
down.

Note:

To complete the installation of the sliding beater, you need a partner. If no
one is available right now, leave the beater as it is and come back to adjust it
later.

Slide the beater all the way forward so that the leather bumpers are
equally compressed. Hold the beater in this position and tighten the

two front screws most of the way.
