An LP+V approach provides the same lateral navigation as
LP, but also presents an advisory glideslope deviation for
display on the external deviation indicator Vertical deviations
are based on a glidepath angle that is published with the
approach. However, it is the
pilot’s responsibility to ensure
compliance with all published stepdown constraints.. This
type of approach is non-precision and uses the published
“LP” minimums. The Nav Mode datablock will display “LP+V”
for the approach type.
COOL FEATURE
FPL Bottom LSK
Think of the bottom LSK on the FPL page as your
“hook” into the FMS. The button changes
functionality based on the phase of flight or
instrument procedure you are on. This is described
in more detail in the FMS HOOKS section on page
5-14.
