C1 - C4 Knock Retard (°)
Range: 0° to 128°
Using a detonation sensor mounted in the intake manifold, the PCM
can detect knock and compensate for it. Knock retard represents the
computer commanded retard for cylinder #1, #2, #3, and #4.
Charge Goal (Volts)
Range: 0 to 16 Volts
The voltage the charging system is attempting to reach.
Charge Temp (°F)
Range: -40° to 261°
For some MFI and turbo models, air/fuel mixture temperature can have
an effect on the oxygen sensor feedback system by adjusting the injector
pulse width according to temperature. The throttle body temperature
sensor replaced the charge sensor on later models for vapor lock
detection (see Throttle Body Temp).
Charge Temp Sens (Volts)
Range: 0 to 5 Volts
The input voltage displayed is used by the PCM to convert to an actual
temperature (see Charge Temp).
Closed Loop (Yes/No)
If Closed Loop is NO, this means that the air/fuel mixture is being
controlled by PCM tables or sensors other than the oxygen sensor. This is
the case in a cold start condition, for example. When the engine coolant
temperature sensor reaches a certain temperature (which depends on
engine controller type) the Closed Loop status should transition to YES.
In closed loop, the air/fuel mixture is controlled by the oxygen sensor.
Cruise Input (Volts)
Range: 0 to 1 Volt
The speed control system enabling input voltage, this parameter
represents the switch state of the speed control system on vehicles
equipped with speed control.
Cruise Target (MPH)
Once the speed control in engaged, this parameter should indicate the
control speed. If speed control is disengaged this parameter should
indicate 0 MPH.
Cruise Status (State)
The operating state of the speed control (SC) system should be
displayed. Possible states are as follows:
• DISABLED: SC is disabled and disengaged.
