hear any sound coming from the internal or external speaker(s) during any test. Try a different speaker or
cable.
Binaural tests run twice
Binaural tests run twice
Tests are automatically repeated when in binaural mode.
When making a binaural measurement, the input level at the left and right ear may be substantially different due
to acoustic reflections from nearby objects and the position of the real-ear speaker. The Verifit produces a sound
field that will minimize the input sound field error for both ears. Occasionally, the difference between the ears is
large enough that the Verifit is unable to compensate and provide clinically relevant results. In these situations,
the Verifit will perform the measurement twice to obtain an accurate result for both ears.
For best success using Verifit binaural mode on ear
•
Ensure the patient and the Verifit real-ear speaker are directly facing each other and less than 60 cm (24
in.) apart.
•
Position the patient and the Verifit real-ear speaker as equidistant as possible from walls and other large
surfaces.
•
Enable binaural equalization assistance from Setup Speechmap.
Invalid binaural equalization
Invalid Binaural EQ!
This message may be displayed in Speechmap when running in L+R mode in the testbox. It indicates that there
was a significant difference between the left and right reference microphones.
•
Check that both reference microphones are securely plugged within the test box.
•
Position the reference microphones as symmetrically as possible on the left and right hearing instruments.
•
If this error persists, run Speechmap in L and R modes separately.
Invalid WRECD transducer coupler calibration
Invalid WRECD transducer coupler calibration.
This message may be displayed during the coupler calibration for the RECD transducer. It indicates that the
calibration is significantly different from normal which may cause significant error while fitting.
•
Check that the WRECD transducer is connected to the probe dock and that the probe dock is connected to
the rear unit.
•
Check that the WRECD transducer is connected to the TRIC adapter on the 0.4cc coupler, and that the
coupler is attached to the blue coupler microphone.
•
Check that the coupler microphone is connected in the test box.
Invalid RECD real ear measurement
Invalid RECD real ear measurement.
This message may be displayed during the RECD real ear measurement. It indicates that the measurement is
significantly different from normal which may cause significant error while fitting.
•
Check that the WRECD transducer is connected to the probe dock.
•
Check that the probe module is connected to the probe dock. Ensure the probe tube is not pinched or
