The expansion valve is thermostatically regu-
lated. It has a control unit with a thermostatic
valve element and a ball valve.
The thermostatic valve element on one side of
the diaphragm has a special gas filling.
The other side is connected to the evaporator
outlet (low pressure) via pressure equalisation
drillings.
The ball valve is activated by a push rod.
Expansion valve

front of the evaporator between the high pres-
sure and low pressure sides of the refrigerant
circuit.
