BCX Series Operating Manual Page 91
Some conditions are exclusive of one another, and some can be combined. This first
section (pink background) is exclusive; meaning that only one condition from this list
can be activated per step.
In this graphic, step
one has Salt Fog
selected as the desired
test condition for this
step.
Below is a description
of each test condition.
SALT FOG
Atomization of electrolyte in the Solution Reservoir using
the fogging tower(s).
DRY CYCLE
A
ctivates the cabinet’s purge blower and heater to dry the
exposure zone.
FOG HUMIDITY
Atomization of DI water using the fogging tower(s),
creating a saturated (95-100%) condensing humidity.
WET BOTTOM RH
Fills the bottom of the exposure zone of the cabinet with DI
water and heats it using the cabinet heater. This creates a
95-100% non-fogging condensing humidity.
CONTROLLED RH
Uses the cabinet’s heaters, blower, and fogging tower(s) to
control the RH between 30 – 95%, +/- 5%.
IMMERSION FILL
Moves solution from the immersion reservoir into the
exposure zone.
DRAIN TO TANK
Moves the immersion solution from the exposure zone
back to the immersion reservoir.
DRAIN TO WASTE
Moves the immersion solution from the exposure zone to
the floor drain. (Also useful for cleaning.)
AMBIENT
Opens the cabinet cover (if automated cover lifters were
installed) to expose the parts being tested to ambient lab
conditions.
CUSTOM CYCLE
No action is taken with this condition. However, this must
be selected to activate other sections.
NOTE: Some displayed features are optional and not on each cabinet. They can be used only if the
options were purchased with the cabinet.
