BCX Series Operating Manual
There could be many causes for “Faults” on the BCX. A fault is a condition that
causes the cabinet controller to display a message and, in many cases, stop the test by
putting the
cabinet into a
pause mode.
There are two
main types of
fault conditions;
latching and
non-latching
faults.
A latching fault
is one that
causes the
cabinet to stop
its current
testing and
requires the
condition to be corrected before any further testing can proceed. Above is an example
of a latching fault. Latching faults are shown in a red colored box. When the
condition that created the fault is corrected, the fault must be reset. This is
accomplished by using the mouse and pointing to the “reset fault” box
and
left-clicking once on this box. If the condition is corrected, the status
box
above will return to a green color and display an “All Devices OK”
message.
Non-latching faults may also be described as a warning message. These conditions
are also displayed in the status box. They do not stop the test, or prevent the user from
starting a test. When a non-latching fault is displayed, the status box it is in will be
yellow in color.
If there is more than one fault condition at a time, they will cycle one after another in
the status box displaying the message along with the appropriate color.
As on all pages, to return to the prior page use the mouse and place the cursor over the
return button and click once on the left mouse key. In this case, clicking on the return
button from this screen will return the user to the “MAIN MENU”
screen.
