1. Verify, that the channel; frequency, range and range delayed are displayed, as shown in the red boxes
below. If these are not being displayed, double check the system status of the system to verify that all
channels are turned on.
2. Check the transducer to electronic's module wiring for proper connection.
3. Check the capacitance of the problematic channel.
Note: The capacitance should be similar to what was delivered on the Hyperbaric Pressure Cycle Test Data
Sheet, delivered with the Transducers.
4. Using a hydrophone connected to an Oscilloscope and verify that the transducer is transmitting.
5. If a hydrophone is not available, an audible transmission envelope can be heard with your ear against
the transducer.
a. Only enable the channel that appears to be malfunctioning.
b. Set the Transmit range to the maximum range of the channel's frequency.
c. Note: This is best accomplished by only enabling the channel under test in the Sonar Control panel.

Acoutsic Interference
Other acoustic systems can interfere with the Scout MkII. This interference is detected in the waterfall data
after a mission as horizontal lines. Most of the acoustic interference issues can be corrected by using the
Sync In and/or Sync Out function of the Scout MkII. See Sync I/O Settings for more information.
