If one of the channels has an elevated noise level the following should be checked to correct the issue.
1. Verify proper electrical connection between the transducer and the electronics module.
a. Perform the Noise test in the EMI & Noise Interference Section of this document.
2. If there are any splices in the transducer cabling, inspect them for proper electrical connection
3. Swap the Port and Starboard Transducers by swapping the connection points on the electronic's
module(s).
a. If the problem does not follow the cabling and transducer then the issue is within the electronic's
module itself. Please contact ATLAS North America for further help.
b. If the problem follows the cabling and transducer then the issue is located within the wiring or
transducer.
i. Inspect the wiring for any electrical discontinuity.
ii. Measure the capacitance of the transducer.
Note: The capacitance should be similar to what was delivered on the Hyperbaric Pressure Cycle Test Data
Sheet, delivered with the Transducers.

Loss of a Channel
If a channel and/or an entire side (Port, Starboard) loses all data there are a couple of test to determine the
cause.
