FIXING TO THE WALL
NOTE:
Traka Systems can be heavy. The Touch system must be secured to the wall, as described in this
section, to eliminate risk of injury or damage. The system may also require two persons to lift it.
1.
Locate the desired position on the wall you wish the Touch system and any extension cabinets (if applicable) to
go. The main cabinet should be no further than 1 Meter from the mains spur.
2.
Mark and drill the centre hanging fixing point. To do this, either hold the system up against the wall in the desired
position and mark the wall through the hole, or measure to the hanging point using the system drawing in the
‘Wall Preparation’ section of this document.
3.
Screw a fixing into the wall leaving slightly loose to enable the system to hang from it.
4.
Hang the system on the fixing and whilst levelling with a spirit level, mark the wall at the remaining 6 fixing positions
in both the Cabinet and the Pod.
5.
Place the system to one side and drill the marked fixing points.
6.
Hang the system back on the hanging fixing point and secure to the wall with the remaining fixings.
7.
If your system has extension cabinets, continue to fix these to the wall using the same method. Ensure the cabinets
are located in the correct order. For more information please refer to the ‘Extension Systems Overview’ section.
