ROUTING THE MAINS AND NETWORK CABLES
1.
The mains cable must be routed out through one of the 20mm knockouts in either the top or the bottom of the
cabinet. Using a hammer and a large flat head screwdriver, remove one of the knockouts. Refer to Section 5.4 Wall
Preparation for the knockout dimensions and positions.
NOTE:
A suitable grommet or cable gland should be used to prevent damage to the mains cable where
it passes through the hole.
NOTE:
For Installation in the UK, the mains cable outside of the cabinet should be enclosed in 20mm
conduit. This must be in accordance with your local wiring regulations/electrical code.
If you are routing the cable through a knockout in the bottom of the cabinet you will need to cut the cable ties
securing the mains cable to the side of the cabinet, and then route the cable around the power supply and secure
to the cable tie mount as shown below.
2.
A network connection may also be required. The network socket is located behind the strip frame. Simply feed the
network cable through one of the 20mm knockouts in the top or bottom of the cabinet and connect into the top of
the network coupler. The network coupler has a cable running into the pod and connected to the Traka Touch PCB.
Any excess cable must be tied to the cable tie mounts in the side of the cabinet and neatly routed to ensure it
cannot be caught when the manual door override mechanism is used.
