5.5.10.1. Preset Envelopes (MSEG Envelopes only)

A quick way to learn about the power of the MSEG envelope type is to experiment with the

preset MSEG templates included with the CZ V. These presets are also great starting points

for creating your own presets.

The Preset envelopes are displayed above the graphic at the top of the Envelopes window.

Two sets of templates are available: one for unsynced envelopes, and a different set that

appears when the Sync button in the lower right corner is on. (Synced envelopes are

explained

here [p.52]

.).

Unsynced MSEG Preset templates

There are ten templates available when the MSEG envelopes are not synced:

Click on a blue arrow to display more presets. These provide basic envelope shapes as well

as some other useful shapes that would take longer to create.

Synced MSEG Preset templates

There are nine templates available when the MSEG envelopes are synced. Click the Sync

button to reveal the preset options:

Click on a blue arrow to display more presets. These envelopes could be used as part of a

rhythm track. They also are great starting points for your own rhythmic explorations.

The synced MSEG templates are fully adjustable.
