Attaching the Stabilizer Leg (optional)
Raise the Stabilizer leg wheel to a position 6 inches (15 cm) from the lower
bracket. (Fig 15) Mount the hook on the patient platform as shown in (Fig 16A).
Rotate the Stabilizer Leg frame (Fig 16b) and push the white connector under
the patient platform to lock it into place. (Fig 16 C, D) While lifting up on the
frame loosen the leg and lower it to the ground and retighten the lock.
Note: Do not lower the OR table while the Stabilizer Leg is fixed in place.
To remove the Stabilizer leg, raise the leg post off the ground and retighten
the knob. Push the white button to release the lock and rotate the frame away
from the patient platform.

Hip Flexion:
Hip Flexion / Extension may be achieved on the Operative Spar only. The
Flexion/Extension release lever is located just proximal to the Operative Spar
handle (Fig 17). This release lever should be pulled downward (Fig 17A) and
rotated counter-clockwise towards a position parallel to the floor (Fig 17B).
While doing this the Spar should be supported at the handle with the other
hand to take up the weight of leg & Spar and facilitate disengagement of the
Flexion/Extension lock. Once unlocked, the spar may be raised or lowered
(Fig 17C) to achieve hip flexion.
