Inserting Lamp – Relamping

Danger: High Volt-
age!
Switch off bal-
last and disconnect it
from lamphead
before relamping.

Danger: Hot Lamp!
Allow lamp to cool
down sufficiently
before relamping.

To remove lamp-
house, take bayonet
socket as shown in pic-
ture 6. Turn it left (anti-
clockwise direction) until
it reaches its stop posi-
tion. Continue turning by
approx. 30° to open
bayonet lock.

Caution: Risk to
damage lamp and
reflector!
If lamp or
reflector touch one
another, they may
become damaged
by scratching. This
may create a line
of weakness, lead-
ing to premature
failure of lamp or
reflector.

Take off lamphouse
carefully with a straight
linear movement (see
picture 7).

Open lamp-holder
lock (see picture 8) and
carefully remove (used)
lamp by drawing it from
its socket (see picture 9).

Inspect pins of used
lamps: If there are
localised signs of discol-
ouration (caused by
overheating), lamp
holder may have been
damaged and may
shorten lifetime of
lamps.
¡
All contacts of lamp
holder must be dry and
free of contamination or
corrosion when installing
a new lamp.
¡
Fingerprints on lamp
glass will burn in and
reduce its lifetime.

Without touching the
lamp glass, using a
clean cotton glove or the
cover supplied by the
lamp manufacturer,
carefully take new lamp
out of its package, hold-
ing it by its base.

Clean lamp as stated
in manufacturer’s instruc-
tions, packed with lamp.
We kindly advise you to
follow the operating
instructions supplied with
lamp.
