PROBLEM
TO CHECK
Tilt function buttons on hand control
(
SIT/RECLINE
) do not work,
meaning that the tilt function cannot
achieve the fully seated or fully
reclined position.
• Verify if the
Maxi Sky
2 Plus
is in Dual Mode (refer to page
34).
• Maximum allowed height difference between spreader
bars has been reached causing the sit or recline function
to stop.
• The software has calculated that a weight transfer shift
between the ceiling lifts has caused one ceiling lift to
become overloaded and has stopped the motion. This is a
normal safety feature. The "Overweight" icon appears on
the ceiling lift's display and the function causing the
problem is prohibited.
• With only the spreader bar connected to the
Maxi Sky
2 Plus (i.e. no patient) and in Dual Mode, press
on the
UP
button to raise the spreader bar to its highest
position. This will reset the height difference calculation.
With charging station
The ceiling lift is not charging
properly: charging cycle does not
engage or the battery level never
reaches at least 75% after a
charging cycle.
1) Ensure that the ceiling lift is in Dual Mode and LED is
enabled.
2) With battery symbol at 75% or less being displayed (on both
ceiling lifts), move the ceiling lift away from under the charging
station and bring it back underneath it:
The battery symbol should scroll from depleted to full
with green LED flashing for about 7 seconds. This
confirms the detection of the charging station and
that it is providing the proper voltage.
If the above detection does not occur, go to step 4.
3) Leave the ceiling lift unused under the charging station for 8.5
hours in order to complete a full charging cycle (8 hrs) and allow
sufficient time (30 minutes) for a self-diagnostic.
After this time period, move the ceiling lift away from
under the charging station. This should awaken both
ceiling lifts and the battery symbols (on both ceiling
lifts) should appear. If battery levels are at 100% or
75%, the charging system is fully operational.
Otherwise go to step 6.
4) If possible, check that the chargers are plugged into a
standard outlet and that the outlet has power.
5) If possible, check that the contact blades make good physical
contact with the charging station.
6) If problem persists, contact your Arjo agent for maintenance.
