PROBLEM
TO CHECK
With ECS
The ceiling lift is not charging
properly: the charging cycle does
not engage or the battery level
never reaches at least 75% after a
charging cycle.
1) Ensure that the ceiling lift is in Dual Mode and LED is enabled.
2) With battery symbol at 75% or less being displayed (on both
ceiling lifts), momentarily press the
DOWN
button on the hand
control and wait 30 seconds.
The ECS symbol should appear (on both ceiling lifts)
to indicate that the charging cycle has been initiated.
If not, go to step 4.
Move the ceiling lift along the entire track layout to
ensure that ECS charging does get interrupted.
3) Leave the ceiling lift unused for 8.5 hours in order to complete a
full charging cycle (8 hours) and allow sufficient time (30 minutes)
for a self-diagnostic.
After this time period, momentarily press the
DOWN
button on the hand control and observe the display
after 15 seconds. Both ceiling lifts should wake up,
and the battery symbols (on both ceiling lifts) should
appear. If battery levels are at 100% or 75%, the
charging system is fully operational. Otherwise go to
step 5. .
It is possible and normal that 20 seconds after
waking up, the ECS symbol is displayed again and
that a new charging cycle is initiated.
4) If possible, check that the chargers are plugged into a standard
outlet and that the outlet has power.
5) If problem persists, contact your Arjo agent for maintenance.
