Attaching the Spreader Bar to the
Ceiling Lift Using Quick Connect
The spreader bar features an attachment which
allows the caregiver to change the spreader bar in a
few steps without using any tools.
WARNING:
Spreader bars must only be
installed by a trained person. To prevent the
patient from falling, always ensure that the
strap is secured with the attachment and that
the attachment latch is closed before every use.

1) Insert the
strap with the
pivot into the
quick connect
by pushing it
inward.

2) Rotate the
strap upward.

3) Ensure that
the latch is
closed. If using
a Dynamic
Positioning
System
(PDPS),
connect the
cable.

4) If using a
PDPS, secure
the cables on
the back of the
quick connect
as shown.
Removing the Spreader Bar from the
Ceiling Lift

1) If using a
PDPS, detach
the cable from
the back of the
housing and
then
disconnect the
connector.

2) Open the
latch that
locks the strap
in place by
pushing it
inward.

3) Rotate the
strap towards
the latch.

4) Pull the
strap out of the
attachment.
WARNING:
When attaching or removing spreader bars, be sure to do so away from the patients
to avoid causing injuries.
