Troubleshooting
NOTE
Before starting the troubleshooting check: Power supply, Water supply and the LEDs on control panel. If the
problem can not be solved with the problem solving actions below, please contact an Arjo authorized
technician.
PROBLEM
ACTION
Nothing happens when pushing a button. Check that the emergency stop button is not pushed down, reset
until it pops-up.
Malibu/Sovereign
bathtub can not be
raised when the lifting arm is outside the
bathtub.
1 Swing the lifting arm into the
Malibu/Sovereign
bathtub.
2 Check hand control.
The battery level LED is turned on but the
main LED is turned off.
Power failure.
Nothing happens when pushing a button
on the hand control.
Replace hand control.
Lifting arm “up/down” and “in/out” of the
Malibu/Sovereign
bathtub does not work.
Check hand control and cables, replace if necessary.
Lifting arm “in/out” of the
Malibu/
Sovereign
bathtub does not work.

Malibu/Sovereign
bathtub is not in the lowest position. Lower
the bathtub.
2 Check hand control and cables, replace if necessary.
No water flow or bad water flow during
Malibu/Sovereign
bathtub filling and
shower.
1 Check incoming water flow.
2 Check/clean filters.
No water flow or bad spray pattern during
shower only.

No water flow:
Turn the shower off if no water comes out from shower handle
within 30s. Contact qualified personnel.

Bad spray pattern:
Check shower handle. Replace if necessary.
The water temperature can not be
regulated.
Check temperature on incoming water.
Temperature display shows:
--.- Scalding protection not working
Contact qualified personnel.
It is only possible to lower the lift.
The lifting device of this equipment is equipped with a a safety nut.
If the safety nut will be activated it will only be possible to lower the
equipment into a safe position. In case of this scenario stop using
the equipment and contact qualified personnel for repair.
