3.8.6
[ST1] connections for a firmware update
The pins for the CAN bus or the RS-232 interface are available at the logical connection [ST1] for a
firmware update.
CAN bus:
- Pin 9 CAN_L
- Pin 10 CAN_H
- Pin 14 CAN_GND
RS-232:
- Pin 11 COM1_TxD
- Pin 12 COM1_RxD
- Pin 15 COM_GND
To force VECTOPOWER to start in bootloader mode, pin 13 #EN_CONF must be grounded. This
pin is queried when the device is switched on.
3.8.7
[ST3] connections to a VECTOBUS system
The VECTOBUS connects the VECTOPOWER with the VECTONUM V8 system. With a
VECTONUM V8 system, several VECTOPOWERs as well as different types of VECTOPOWER
devices can be programmed and controlled.
The designations "VBIn", "VBOut", "MS", and "SM" describe the direction of communication.
•
"VBIn" refers to the connection to the higher-level control or the device that forwarded the
signals.
•
“VBOut" refers to the connection to the subordinate device if several devices are switched in a
daisy chain.
