6.2 EasyCal 2 USBL Calibration
The program is an add-in to the Easytrak Nexus 2 acoustic positioning system and provides the
facility to calibrate the acoustic system to eliminate any alignment errors which may have occurred
during the vessel installation of the transceiver.
The program is launches directly from Easytrak Nexus 2, offsets and target data are passed
automatically from Easytrak to EasyCal 2. Once the program is running, GPS position and USBL
data, or import USBL data from logged ASCII files, and process using least squares techniques to
provide Heading, Pitch, Roll and Scaling corrections. Histograms and Time-Series graphs are
provided for reporting and C-O values can be automatically sent back to Easytrak to update it's
configuration.
