Submenu Zoom:
In this menu, you can disable unwanted zoom levels
(except 1× zoom level).
To do this, select the desired zoom level and change
the setting to OFF. Exit this selection with the 3 long
key. However, the corresponding zoom level is only
deactivated by pressing and holding key 4.
This process is indicated by an “OK“.
Submenu Filter
The filters CR, BCR, BRH, WH and BWH are activated
on delivery. In this submenu you can activate or (except
CR) deactivate all filters. So only the required filters are
displayed. Select the filters to be disabled and set them
to OFF. Save this setting by pressing button 4 long. An
“OK“ appears to confirm.
In its latest revision, TILO has many very helpful
functions, which can be set via the menu. We thank
all customers who informed us about their wishes
and ideas for improvement.
Hide symbols
The symbol display can now be deactivated. This is
e.g. helpful for video recordings if these should not
be affected by the disturbing symbols. Even if TILO is
frequently operated upside down, the absence of the
symbol display is helpful.

Flipfunction
If the TILO is operated upside down, the symbols
can now also be flip over. When operating on a
tripod and a connected video recorder, the icons are
back upright.
FLAP Deactivating the Lens Cover
The TILO is very robust and can therefore be transpor-
ted in your trouser pocket without the risk of damage.
However, it may happen that the lens cover opens
accidentally and the unit switches itself on. Switching
on can now be deactivated. The unit is then switched
on manually by pressing keys 1+2 for a long time
(
). The shutter can still be switched off and
calibrated or deactivated by the flap (
).
IR status display
Since the IR LED is not visible to the naked eye, it
is often difficult to tell if it is still on. Therefore, an
LED symbol appears on the screen when the IR-LED
is on.

Submenu DIS distance estimator
Activate the distance estimator in the DIS submenu.
Here you can choose between three different settings
depending on the application for which you want to
use the TILO.
MEN = standing person (1.76 m)
HOG = wild boar (1m)
BUC = roe buck (0,75 m)
Example distance estimation MEN:
Cover the lowest line of the silhouette (soles of the
feet). At the same time, align the top of the silhouette
(vertex) with one of the other lines. The number above
the line then corresponds to the distance in meters.
The most accurate results are achieved when the
magnification is as high as possible.
PIN menu
Secure your TILO reliably against loss with your own
PIN code. If this is entered incorrectly 3 times in a
row, the TILO will be permanently blocked. Other
users will no longer be able to use the device and
may contact us. We can then identify you via the
serial number and return the device to you.
If it is too difficult for you to enter the PIN each
time before using TILO, you can set a cycle number
between 1 and 255 in the PIN menu under CYC.
With the latter, the PIN is only requested after 255
switch-on processes. Each time you have entered the
PIN in the PIN menu, the cycle is automatically reset
and starts counting again. According to the example
given above, the PIN would only be requested again
after 255 connection switch-on (cycles).
To avoid being surprised by the PIN request, you can
also define a warning period WAR. If, for example,
you select 5 there, a warning message (PIN) will
appear on the screen 5 cycles before the actual PIN
request.
Setting the PIN
– The PIN query is usually deactivated when the
TILO is delivered. It must first be activated in the
PIN menu under REQ.
– The default PIN is set to 0000. You can enter your
own sequence of numbers in the PIN menu under
SET. To save, press and hold (1s) button 4.
PUK
If the PIN was entered incorrectly 5 times or the entry
was aborted, a locking screen is displayed with the
message „PIN permanently locked, contact www.
andres-defence.de or enter PUK“. If you press key
1 long, you get to the PUK query. If this is entered
correctly, the PIN is reset to „0000“. The PUK of
your TILO can be found on your proof of purchase
or as a sticker in your manual.
