Lift the extraction tool vertically away from the device and the oxygen sensor
should lift out of its socket as shown in Figure 31.

Remove the old sensor from the extraction tool by gently pushing the sensor
from the wide, top end of the extraction tool, whilst not squeezing the grip.
THE SENSOR CONTAINS LEAD AND ACCORDING TO WEEE
REGULATION MUST NOT BE PLACED IN HOUSEHOLD WASTE
BINS. PLEASE CHECK LOCAL REGULATIONS FOR
INFORMATION ON THE DISPOSAL OF ELECTRONIC
PRODUCTS IN YOUR AREA.

Remove the new sensor from its packaging. Oxygen sensors are supplied in
sealed bags. Before the bag is opened check that the sensor has not leaked
–
if it
has, then please refer to the safety information at the start of this section.
