Once completed, click FTP Transfer to begin the process of transferring the information to an
outside server via FTP.
10.
Enter the IP Address or Host Name. This routes the information being transferred to the
specific address or host that corresponds to the external FTP server. Refer to the
Downloading
to a NetLinx Master on a LAN
section for more information on downloading to a NetLinx
Master.
11.
Enter the User and Password information into their respective fields. This information is used
by the server to authenticate the user and grant access to the server.
12.
In most cases, leave the Start Directory field blank but if a specific directory path is needed
then enter it exactly as it appears in the server.
13.
Select Overwrite Existing Files, if these files currently exist in the directory.
14.
Click Begin to initiate the download of the files to the server.
Downloading to a NetLinx Master on a LAN
To send the HTML pages to a NetLinx controller on a LAN, the controller must be accessible via
an Ethernet connection (TCP/IP).
To send the HTML pages:
1.
Enter the NetLinx Masters’ IP address in the IP Address (Host Name) field.
2.
Enter
NetLinx
(case sensitive) in the FTP User field.
3.
Enter
password
(case sensitive) in the Password field.
4.
Leave the Start Directory field blank, because the default starting directory upon login is /
USER.
This causes the files to be placed in a Panel subfolder in the user folder on the NXI.
The file transfer capabilities of TPD3 are to any FTP-capable destination.
To transfer files to a NetLinx master on a LAN, it must be accessible via an Ethernet
connection (TCP/IP).
