TPDesign3 Touch Panel Program
Adding Button Text
1.
Select Text from either the Button drop-down or right-click Button option menus to open the
window.
Each screen handles the text properties for the separate On and Off States. The Text, Font
Style, and Justification field options appear on the right of the Off State dialog box. These
features can be separately applied to selected buttons.
TPDesign3 does not allow any modifications to the On State of a button for text, font, bitmaps,
or icons if you assign a variable text code to this button. If the checkmark for the
"Use the same
text for the On State of the button"
field is de-selected, the Button Text Properties window
expands to display the On State (FIG. 9).
2.
Enter your text into the Text field. Use Shift+Enter to go to the next line of text.
3.
Select a font from the fonts list. A preview of the selected font is shown in the preview window.
4.
Set text justification by clicking an area in the
Text Justification
window.
5.
Remove the checkmark by the
"Use the same text for the On State of the button"
field only if
you want different text to appear for the two states. A button that changes from ON to OFF is
an example of a button with different text for different states.
6.
Add the checkmark by the
"Use the same text for the On State of the button"
field only if you
want the same text to appear for the two states. A CD button that only changes color from ON
to OFF but maintains the name is an example of a button with the same text for different states.
7.
Then, type the button text for the On and Off States.

There is NO UNDO in TPDesign3; if you alter a property on selected buttons
accidentally, you must go back and rebuild the button.
