Video ROM Shadow C000, 16K and
Video ROM Shadow C400, 16K
These options only appear in Advanced CMOS Setup for
80386-based EZ-Flex systems. The settings are
Enabled
or
Disabled
. ROM shadow is a technique in which ROM code
is copied from slower ROM to faster RAM. The code is
then executed from RAM. If enabled, the 16K segment at
C000 or C400 is shadowed.
Adaptor ROM Shadow C800, 16K through
Adaptor ROM Shadow EC00, 16K
These options only appear in the Advanced CMOS Setup
for 80386-based EZ-Flex systems. The settings are Enabled
and Disabled. ROM shadow is a technique in which ROM
code is copied from slower ROM to faster RAM. The code
is then executed from RAM. If enabled, the 16K segment at
C8000h, CC000h, D0000h, D4000h, D8000h, DC000h,
E0000h, E4000h, E8000h, or EC000h is shadowed from
ROM to RAM.
Both Internal Cache and External Cache options appear
in Advanced CMOS Setup on 80486-based systems that
have external cache. On 80386-based systems, only
External Cache is displayed.
