Procedure Description
2. Railing
Adjustment
Place container to run on the SpeedGlider in timing screw pocket. Allow for 1/16 of a gap as
shown below.
Vertical Height Adjustment
There is no precise adjustment for retainer railing, but railings can be adjusted vertically to
maintain container alignment along the conveyor. This is determined by the height of the
container. As a rule of thumb, set the upper rail at the widest part of the container, usually
midway up the side.
Horizontal Width Adjustment
Retainer railing can be adjusted for width by using the container itself. Place the container
on the conveyor belt and loosen the cross-clamps and corresponding thumb screws. With
the container up against the timing screw pocket surface, move the railing to create a 1/16
inch gap between rail and container surface.
3. Replace
Timing Screw
Note: Timing screws are made for specific size containers. Depending upon the size
variances in containers timing screw replacement may not be require.
A. Remove Timing Screw (back out from right end only) unlock the locking lever by twisting
it counter-clockwise uncouple and pull out the timing screw:
Note: The timing screw is disengaged from the left end.
B. Insert and engage new timing screw at the slotted end of the timing screw drive
motor shaft.
