5.3 Returning the CFR to Alpha for Repairs
If you need to return a unit for repair, obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number from
Alpha Technologies’ customer service department. Clearly write it on the original shipping con-
tainer.
If you do not have the container, pack the replacement with at least three inches of shock-ab-
sorbing material, but do not use popcorn type packaging. Returns should be prepaid and in-
sured (COD and freight collect cannot be accepted).
NOTE:
Alpha Technologies does not assume responsibility for damage caused by
improper packaging of returned units.

5.4 Replacing the Internal Batteries (CFR 5000 Only)
This procedure applies only to the tower version of the CFR 5000. The CFR 5000RM uses an
external battery pack.
DANGER:
2) Do not short the battery terminals.
3) Make sure the cover does not touch the battery terminals or any internal parts when
removing or replacing it.
