4.1 Setting Up RS–232 Communications
Wire the DB–9 connector as shown in Section 2.6, “Connecting the RS–232 Port.”
Windows HyperTerminal Connection
For this tutorial, Com 1 is used and the unit is called CFR.
Procedure

The path is Start/Programs/Accesso-
ries/Communications/HyperTerminal .

Click on the Hypertrm.exe icon. The
Connection Description screen appears
(Figure 4.1).
Enter a name and choose an icon for your
unit. Click
OK .

Connect to COM 1. Click OK .
