The UPS contains more than one live circuit. AC power may be
present at the UPS output, even if AC power is not present at its input.
Do not allow live battery wires to touch the UPS chassis. Shorted
battery wires could cause a fire or explosion.
Inspect the batteries once a year for signs of cracks, leaking or swell-
ing.
Always replace batteries with batteries of identical type and rating.
Never install old or untested batteries.
Do not use uninsulated tools or other conductive materials when
handling batteries or working inside the UPS.
Remove all rings, watches, and other jewellery before servicing
batteries.
Proper disposal of batteries is required. Refer to local regulations for
disposal procedures.
