Self Test
The UPS can perform a self test of its internal components, confirming its
ability to transfer between On Line and On Battery modes and its ability to
support the loads.
NOTE: The self-test should not be done while critical loads are running,
depending on the UPS's output.

If the On Line LED is ON, start the self test by pressing down the Test
button for three seconds. The UPS should transfer to battery power without
affecting the load. The On Battery and Test LEDs should come ON, and the
audible alarm should beep once every 30 seconds.

It takes about one minute to finish the test, then the UPS returns to On Line
mode without affecting the load.

Front Panel Indicators and Controls
The UPS is equipped with a compact display and control panel. The LEDs
show the UPS's state.

On Line and On Battery
LEDs
This pair of LEDs work together to show the UPS's operating mode. In
normal operation, the On Line LED is ON and On Battery LED is OFF. This
means that the input voltage is 88%–113% of the rated voltage and the
UPS is in On Line
mode.
If the input voltage is 50%–88% of the rated voltage, the On Line LED
flashes. If the input voltage is less than 50% of the rated voltage, the On
Line LED is OFF.
The inverter is running if the On Battery LED is ON. During a brownout, the
UPS raises the output voltage by using its transformer without using battery
power or activating the inverter.

Low Battery LED
When the Low Battery LED is ON, the battery is discharged. The UPS will
automatically shut down and the LEDs show a fault. Shut off and restart the
UPS in On Line mode.
A flashing Low Battery LED shows the batteries are almost discharged,
with only a few minutes of backup power left at the current rate of dis-
charge. Shut down all the loads.
