To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the dryer(s) before servicing.
• Close gas shut-off valve to gas dryer(s) before servicing.
• Never start the dryer(s) with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the dryer is properly grounded.

Gas Burner Conversion Procedures
70. CONVERSION KITS – Glow Bar Ignition
System
All gas dryers manufactured with glow bar
ignition are factory equipped for Natural/Mixed
gas operation.
No. 56412 Natural/Mixed to L.P. Gas Kit is
available from your parts supplier. This kit
consists of:
IMPORTANT: The Conversion Kit is intended for
installation only in unused dryers. Installation
should be made by authorized Dealers or
Distributors on their premises.
NOTE: When converting the dryer gas valve to L.P.
gas, be sure the incoming gas supply line is equipped
with a pressure regulator (located ahead of the
dryer) that will maintain the gas supply to the dryer
at 11 ± 2 inches (2.74 ± .4 kPa) water column
pressure.
No. 56413 L.P. to Natural/Mixed Gas Kit is
available for field conversion. This kit consists of:
IMPORTANT: Installation of this Conversion Kit
must be made by a qualified serviceman, or an
Authorized Dealer or Distributor.
NOTE: When converting the dryer gas valve to
Natural Gas, be sure the incoming gas supply line is
equipped with a pressure regulator (located ahead
of the dryer) that will maintain the gas supply to the
dryer at 7 ± 2 inches (1.74 ± .5 kPa) water column
pressure.
