Description
The tank monitor system measures and
records the fluid level of up to 16 tanks per
Controller. Each system consists of one or more
Controllers and Probe(s). See Figure 1.
Each Controller includes a:
• 9 Vdc Transformer
• RS232 Serial Cable (see Table 1)
• CD-ROM
WARNING
Do not use with flammable liquids
or petroleum-based fluids that produce
explosive vapors.
Personal injury or death can occur due to
fire or explosion.
The system’s Probe is compatible with non-
flammable petroleum-based fluids, synthetic
oils, and anti-freeze. The probe operates by
sensing pressure from the fluid above it. The
Controller scans each Probe sequentially to
provide power and collect pressure data. The
Controller converts the pressure data to the height
of the fluid remaining in the tank.
Customer-Supplied PC(s)
A Windows-based personal computer (PC) is
used to communicate with the Controller for data
uploads and downloads. This PC can be
connected either with the RS232 Serial Cable or
by way of a modem. Additional PC’s can also be
modem connected.
