Revising the System
Add a Station
1. Perform steps 8 through 10.
2. Perform steps 14 through 59.
The BigViewX.dev file (where X is the station number)
saved to the programming computer must be copied to
each computer that will monitor this station.
3. Perform steps 8 through 10 and 14 through 28 for each
computer monitoring this station.
Delete a Station
1. Perform steps 8 through 10.
2. Perform steps 16, 21, 22, and 28.
NOTE: Enter 3000/01/01 to the Start Date
(yyyy/mm/dd) field on the Configuration
screen (step 21).
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 above for each computer
monitoring this station.
Change a Configuration Screen Parameter
Perform steps 8 through 28.
• Omit any step with unaffected parameter(s).
Change a Device Setup Screen Parameter
1. Perform steps 29 through 52.
• Omit any step with unaffected parameter(s).
If Sensor Coefficients or Specific Gravity were
changed, or a tank was added:
2. Perform steps 53 through 59 for the affected tank(s).
The modified BigViewX.dev file (where X is the
affected station number) saved to the programming
computer must be copied to each computer monitoring this
station.
If any of the Data tab parameters were changed (not
including Low- and/or High-Levels):
3. Delete all the folders that contain data files (*.dat)
from each computer's hard drive or move them to a
different location*.
* As stated in the previous section, each call the system
makes is saved as a data file to the computer’s hard drive.
These data files relate directly to a file created from the
Device Setup screens. Any new or revised parameters on
the Device Setup screens will conflict with the existing
data files.
Purge the Controller
Certain error messages may require purging data from
the Controller’s memory. Refer to the chart entitled Error
Messages on Page 16.
From the Device Setup screen (Site tab):
1. Select the station from the drop-down button in the
upper left-hand corner of the screen.
2. Check the check box entitled Device Reset.
3. Select Download from the File drop-down menu.
• The green field entitled Status turns red and reads
Downloading*.
Once complete, the green field entitled Status None
reappears indicating the data entered on the Device Setup
screen (Site and Data tab) has been purged from the
Controller’s memory. The previous data remains in place
and appears unchanged.
4. Select All from the Select drop-down menu.
5. Reset the Time and Date on the Site tab.
6. Select Download from the File drop-down menu.
• The green field entitled Status turns red and reads
Downloading.
Once complete, the green field entitled Status None
reappears indicating the data has been stored to the
Controller and the computer.
7. Select Clear from the Select drop-down menu.
8. Enter the height of the fluid currently in the tank.
9. Press the Enter key.
• The field highlights in yellow.
10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 for each tank.
11. Select Download from the File drop-down menu.
• The green field entitled Status None turns red and
reads Downloading.
Once complete, the green field entitled Status None
reappears indicating the data has been stored to the
Controller and the computer.
If an error message continues to appear:
A. Disconnect the Transformer.
B. Remove the Jumper from the Controller
• Wait 10 seconds.
C. Reinstall the Jumper and connect the Transformer.
D. Perform steps 1, and 4 through 11 above**.
* If an error message appears and all previous solutions
from the error message chart have been performed,
proceed to step A.
** If an error message appears at step 6, replace the
Controller.
