4.4. Frost Protection Settings
When the boiler is in standby mode it will operate obeying the parameter no 712 which is the
“
Economy Temperature
”.
If you wish the boiler stays in minimum during the reduced mode (reduced mode does not mean that
device stops, it will work if there is a heat request) you can set the minimum conditions and provide
the boiler works at minimum level. For doing this, you can adjust the reduced setpoint (parameter
712 under the heating circuit menu) to it’s minimum.
The minimum level for the parameter 712 is the parameter 714
(Frost Protection Temperature)
.
Those parameters are linked to each other. For instance, you can decrease the parameter 710 till
the parameter 712 and 712 to 714 (frost protection setpoint) in the same manner.
Please see the informative example below:
As a factory setting, the setpoints below are shown in the controller.
Parameter 710 (Comfort setpoint) = 20°C
Parameter 712 (Reduced setpoint) = 16°C
Parameter 714 (Frost protection setpoint) = 10°C
Under these circumstances, the comfort setpoint can not be decreased to a level below 16°C, and
also reduced setpoint can not be decreased more than 10°C.
The minimum level for the frost protection is 4°C. If you set the parameter 714 to 4°C, then reduced
setpoint can be decreased till 4°C.
Therefore if you wish no operation of the boiler (including economy – low temperature) you can set
the value of the parameter 712 to 4°C.
