of the fuselage far enough forward that the paper covers the 2 hardwood mounting blocks on each side.
60. Mark the location of each hole on the paper. Use a flashlight if needed to help you locate the holes. Poke a small hole in the
paper to ensure you’re lined up.
61. Slide the cowl into position and then slide on the spinner backplate to check for clearance. Pay special attention to lining up
the paint & decals to the fuselage. The gap between the spinner backplate and front of the cowl should be approx. 1/32” -
1/16”. Once happy with the fit and alignment, tape the cowl to the fuselage in several spots to ensure it doesn’t move.
62. Tape the other end of the paper to the cowl and carefully drill a 1/16” hole through the paper and into the cowl. Only drill
through the cowl, not the wood blocks behind!
