Open the head supports by pressing the
"Close/open head supports" button on the
touch screen.

Open the cushion holder with cushions prop-
erly such that the patient can be positioned.

Positioning the patient
For the X-ray image, the patient is accurately
aligned using the positioning beams.
Requirements:
ü
The patient has taken off jewelry and metal
objects, e.g. earrings, hair slides, glasses, arti-
ficial dentures or orthodontic aids.
ü
The patient has put on a protective lead apron.
ü
The patient has been informed about the X-ray
procedure.
ü
The patient has been informed that the unit
may pass by close to his/her head (including
through the field of vision). If patients feel
uncomfortable with this, he or she can close
his/her eyes while the image is being taken.
ü
The patient has been informed that he/she can
press the emergency stop switch in the event
of anxiety during image acquisition.
ü
The patient has been informed that he/she has
to place his/her tongue against the roof of the
mouth during the X-ray.
ü
The patient has been informed that he/she has
to keep his/her eyes closed during positioning
of the X-ray positioning beam.
ü
The patient has been told not to move while
the X-ray is being taken until the unit is back in
the starting position.
CAUTION
Danger of injury by moving rotating
unit arm
After the unit is switched on and the
parameters are confirmed on the touch
screen, the C-shaped angle connector
piece is positioned. Persons can be
injured during this.

Nobody may be present in the area of
the rotating unit arm while the unit is
being switched on.
❯
Move the patient into an upright position at the
unit.
It is also possible to position patients in a
seated position (e.g. wheelchair users, tall
patients).
❯
Use the
buttons to set the height of
the unit.
