5.12 – SPECIAL FUNCTION CONFIGURATION

Operator can turn Special Function ON or OFF, select type of function (See Section 3.6 – Features, for description of
the different special functions), and set the following values:

External Input Maximum

:  This value represents the maximum value of the external input.  This value is used if

External Special Function Input is selected as a display parameter.

Percent Deviation Setpoint

:  (Note: Available only if Percent Deviation is selected as Function Type.)  The percent

difference between the transmitter signal and an external input that will cause an alarm condition when exceeded.

Alarm Deadband

:  (Note: Available only if Percent Deviation is selected as Function Type.)  A percentage below the

percent deviation setpoint which the deviation must reach to reset an activated alarm.

Alarm Delay

:  (Note: Available only if Percent Deviation is selected as Function Type.)  Time between an alarm

condition existing and alarm activation. Adjustable between 0.0 and 10.0 minutes in 0.1 minute increments.
