Radio connection
The wireless data logger receives the measured data, measured and buffer-
saved by the ALMEMO
®
wireless sensors, via a radio connection. In case a
direct connection to the wireless data logger is not possible, every
ALMEMO
®
wireless sensor can act as a repeater by receiving measured
data from other ALMEMO
®
wireless sensors and forwarding the data to the
wireless data logger. The repeater function is disabled for wireless sensors
that are in sleep mode.
Radio channels
A maximum of ten ALMEMO
®
wireless sensors (wireless ALMEMO
®
sensors
and/or wireless ALMEMO
®
interfaces) can be connected to the ALMEMO
®
470 wireless data logger. Every ALMEMO
®
wireless sensor uses the same
radio channel that has been set on the wireless data logger. You can choose
from a range of 16 different radio channels in the 2.4 GHz frequency range.
Several wireless data loggers that are operated in parallel should be set to
different radio channels to connect to the ALMEMO
®
wireless sensor.
Measuring channels
Every ALMEMO
®
wireless sensor provides several measuring channels.
Wireless ALMEMO
®
sensors have four measuring channels. Wireless
ALMEMO
®
interfaces feature the number of measuring channels that the
connected ALMEMO
®
sensor provides. Wireless ALMEMO
®
interfaces can
have a maximum of ten measuring channels.
Only the measurement data of the measuring channels that have been
selected in the data logger will be transferred to the wireless data logger.
The wireless data logger can receive a maximum of 40 measuring channels.
Every measuring channel has
a unique channel number.
