14.4.3 Smoothing by means of a sliding average

When measuring temperature at a resolution of 1/1 000 °C - especially if using

sensors in air - the measured value display may be unstable. In this case the

measured value can be smoothed in the form of a sliding average over a speci-
fied time frame. The

by specifying the number of measured values to be averaged (range 0 to 99);

this is for both Pt100 channels.

14.5 Functions of D6 sensors

Normally the functions and ranges of digital D6 sensors can only be config-

ured on a PC connected via an interface cable. However, with this special de-

vice - an exception - the measuring ranges and their abbreviations and the at-

mospheric pressure compensation can also be programmed in the sensor it-

self; it can subsequently be used in the modified form in other devices too.

However, multi-point calibration and time constant can only be entered via a

PC. (see D6 instructions).
