9. Prepare the QuickSwap End of the Column
Prepare the end of the column fitting with a SilTite fitting.
shows a completed SilTite fitting (nut and ferrule).
Ferrules are available for connections to 530-µm, 320-µm, 250-µm, and 100-µm
columns. The G3185B kit contains ferrules for 100- to 250-µm id columns.

Remove any existing fitting from the end of the column.

Trim any suspected contaminated or degraded part of the column.
C A U T I O N
SilTite ferrules are soft metal. These ferrules are less forgiving than capillary column
fittings using graphite/Vespel ferrules, with which you are probably more familiar.
When using a SilTite fitting, follow the tightening instructions very carefully.
