Return Loss Measurement Setup

Connect the optical output to the input of the DUT.

If the DUT has no fiber output, attach a patchcord to its output.

Wind the fiber or patchcord close to its open end in seven tight
loops around a pen.
This will virtually eliminate the backreflection from the open
end.
